This is the most tragic picture I've ever seen.

That E36 is still on it's wheels, perhaps it can be saved!

Besides a few of them. There. I'm happy to see the Stratus and Caliber there.

Is this from a flood or something? That's a late model Jetta up there, surely these can't all be only worth scrap.

I feel sad for the Accord and the two below the Solara and Accent, which I think are an RSX and a Mazda6.

The UC1 Accord was a pretty handsome car, and had one of my all-time favorite sets of midsize sedan taillights (pre-facelift, the facelift ones are nice, but I prefer the older models).

I couldn't tell you. It's from an Auto recyclers website.

Lots of late model cars it seems.

They're not going to waste. They're helping save others of their kind by sacrificing their parts. It's the ciiiiiiircle of liiiiiiife...

I would bet a lot came from Sandy. Not much visible damage on a lot of them.

Looks like the LKQ yard in Hustisford. Facing the highway they have all these racks of noses. Couple of Vettes and once I saw a Viper up there. Neat to see when driving by, but a little sad as well.

My friendly local junkyard (auto recycler) tells me that now he gets lots more new cars, because if the airbag goes off, the insurance company totals the car to avoid future liabilities on a repaired airbag....and, (at least here)you can't repair the passive safety stuff and get a salvage title ...
